WNCYSA COVID REGULATIONS

The WNCYSA Board of Directors have enacted the following guidelines:

REVISED:  EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 31, 2022 AT 12:01 A.M.

  • NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY PARTICIPANT THAT MISSES ANY OR ALL GAMES DUE TO ISOLATION/QUARANTINE PROCEDURES!

  • Wear masks at your own discretion.

  • As in the past, players must provide their own batting helmets (no sharing). Please contact the league if you need help in obtaining a helmet.

  • Players should bring their own water bottles. No sharing allowed.

  • Players and coaches are strongly encouraged to wash hands immediately prior to and following any games and practices.

  • Players and coaches are encouraged to bring and use their own hand sanitizer.

  • If a player tests positive for COVID-19, the player shall not attend any practice or game until completing the applicable current CDC isolation/quarantine procedure. Proof of compliance with the isolation/quarantine may be required prior to being allowed to return to participation.

  • Parents/guardians of any player that: 1) tests positive for COVID-19; 2) shows any symptoms of COVID-19; 3) has had close contact with a person who has symptoms of COVID-19, are required to immediately inform their player’s coach.

  • Determination on team quarantining, practice or game cancellation/postponement will be made by the League on a case by case basis and pursuant to the most current guidelines from the applicable health experts.

  • Each family should determine their own personal level of comfort with participating with WNCYSA. The WNCYSA Board of Directors is a group of parents volunteers, not health experts, who are trying to give children an opportunity to play baseball and Softball this Spring.

  • As a condition to your child participating in WNCYSA, each parent/guardian agrees to abide by all guidelines provided in this document and any future guidelines enacted by the WNCYSA Board. Failure to adhere to these guidelines could result in sanctions, up to and including, expulsion from the league.

  •  All of these COVID guidelines are subject to change with or without notice based on further recommendations from federal, state, and local health officials.

Let’s have fun and do all that we can to keep players, coaches, families and fans safe this season! Play Ball!
